I just love the lads from the Gossip Girl. Since this series is all about young adults- the rich Upper East side teenagers who drinks martini, smoke marijuana, shop and shoplift and cut class to have sex in the Park Avenue penthouses, you’ll surely be alarmed. But if you take it to the inner perspective, you’ll surely be open-minded enough about the show. Many New York nightlife events brought all our favorite characters together. A week where I’m loving just about everything that is happening in this upper east side world is a good week indeed. At first, my addiction to the drama about social- climbing Manhattan teens began innocently enough, a mere flirtation that grew into a full blown crisis. I thought it was just enjoyable for what it was but hardly something for me to get exciting about. But the show is really the best! “Gossip Girl” will celebrate the glamorous old Hollywood in its upcoming 100th episode. In addition to the anticipated Blair wedding, the said outing will also feature a musical number where Blake Lively’s Serena imagines herself as Marilyn Monroe.
Channeling the late iconic star, Serena dons a pink strapless gown with matching opera-length gloves and completes it with dazzling jewelry. She will be seen reenacting the famed “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” scene from 1953′s film “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”.
Stepping down the stairs, Serena is surrounded by the show’s male characters, including Penn Badgley’s Dan, Chace Crawford’s Nate, Ed Westwick’s Chuck and Hugo Becker’s Louis, who all wear similar suits. Also in the dream sequence, Leighton Meester’s Blair is featured dressing as Audrey Hepburn.
The 100th episode of “Gossip Girl” will air Monday, January 30 at 8/7c on The CW. Executive producer Josh Safran recently said he has wanted to film the Marilyn number since the first season. “It’s something we’ve never done before. From season 1, I said, ‘I want to do this.’ But it just wasn’t the right time. I’ve been pushing it for five years, and it finally happened,” he revealed.

With her royal wedding fast approaching, Blair prepares to celebrate it with a bachelorette party. “Father and the Bride” will air Monday, January 23 at 8/7c on The CW. On what all of these recent events mean for Blair, executive producer Joshua Safran explained that they will leave Blair dealing with “what dreams can come true versus what dreams can’t and be careful what you wish for.”
