Chuck (Ed Westwick) learns more about the woman (guest star Laura Harring) who may or may not be his mother. Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) struggle through the awkwardness of dating other people. Andrew McCarthy directed the episode written by Amanda Lasher & Robby Hull (#314).

GOSSIP GIRL RETURNS WITH 10 ORIGINAL EPISODES! — Nate (Chace Crawford) and Serena (Blake Lively) decide to explore the boundaries of their friendship. Blair (Leighton Meester) suspects that Chuck (Ed Westwick) is having problems forgetting about the woman (guest star Laura Harring) he saw at his father’s grave. Jenny (Taylor Momsen) agrees to accompany Damien (guest star Kevin Zegers) to a State Dinner but is unaware that he needs her help with a drug exchange. Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and Dan (Penn Badgley) attempt to move past the awkwardness of Dan’s confession of love. Rufus (Matthew Settle) returns from a ski trip and tries his best to avoid Lily (Kelly Rutherford) sptv050769. Tony Wharmby directed the episode written by Sara Goodman (#313).
One of television’s most eligible dads is apparently back on the market.
Matthew Settle, who plays Gossip Girl‘s rock star cum artist turned responsible father Rufus Humphrey, is parting ways with wife of four years Naama Nativ, People reports.
“It’s true and we are working on that,” says the alter-ego of Rufus, who ironically got married this season on Gossip Girl. “Things happen in life and you just have to roll with it. I wish things could have been better, but our focus is on our daughter.”
Their daughter, Aven Angelica Settle, was born last March. The 11-month old, who is just learning to talk, will the focus of his father throughout what could be turbulent divorce proceedings.
“She can walk but she’s afraid to,” Matthew shares with the Celebrity Baby Blog. “I try to walk with her holding her hands, but the moment I touch her she wants to sit down. She knows that you are going to ask her to walk and she’s like, ‘I’m not ready!’ So I think she’s going to be cautious, which is good because I’m not always the most cautious person.”
Sources add that legal proceedings are still underway and no divorce papers have been filed.
Settle, 40, adds to OK! that he’s not exactly on a lookout for a replacement to his 26-year-old wife just yet.
“I’m not adjusted yet,” he says. “I’m still working on that, but it’s always a tragedy when things happen, and that’s all I can say.”
Gossip Girl is currently on hiatus, and Settle is set to make his Broadway debut as Billy Flynn in a ten-week limited run next month of Chicago.
Gossip Girl returns March 8 on the CW.

We’re enjoying the Monday night CW block of One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected.
But it’s still safe to say we’re giddy over the March 8 return of Gossip Girl. You shouldn’t have to ask why – you have seen Serena and listened to every word out of Chuck’s mouth, right? – but quotes from the trailer below are reason enough:
- That whore may be my mother.
- Tell me you didn’t sleep with your ex-husband.
- Just so you know, I’m not wearing any underwear.

Georgina Sparks is making her way back to the Upper East Side for the very last episode of season 3, and the actress who plays her, Mercy cutie Michelle Trachtenberg, has some predictions about (pardon the pun) what sparks will fly upon her Gossip Girl return.
“I’m sure there’ll be a big scandal,” Michelle tells E! Online. “She’s back for vengeance.”
Trachtenberg will share the screen twice this spring with one of her Gossip Girl buddies: Connor Paolo (Eric van der Woodsen) will guest on her hospital drama Mercy on March 3.
According to E! Online, on Mercy Paolo will play “a kid who sets off a pipe bomb on a commuter bus. He’s brought in as a patient, and the father of another boy on the bus goes after him with a gun.”
As far as Gossip Girl, Trachtenberg foresees a showdown between her character and Blair Waldorf, played by her real-life buddy Leighton Meester.
“I’m sure Georgina will be seeking vengeance They haven’t written it yet, but she was tricked and sent away, after all. And that li’l lady certainly doesn’t like to be tricked.” And remember who tricked Georgina into flying abroad with a so-called “prince” (played by doorman Vanya)? Yes, it was Blair, with the help of Dorota, of course!
“It’s so funny because Leighton [Meester] and I are so close,” said Trachtenberg last month. “And we always have to say, ‘I hate you!’ but it’s like, ‘I don’t really hate you, I love you!’ At her performances, [Leighton] has me at the front row and, like, we sing to each other while she’s singing up there. So, we’re the cheeseball friends.”
