Gossip Girl
star Blake Lively will spend her post-Thanksgiving week with the cast of Saturday Night Live, which she is set to host on December 5.

Will Lively be a giggly, coasting-on-her-looks host like January Jones two weeks ago, an eager to please entertainer like last week’s Joseph Gordon Levitt, or something else entirely?
For that we’ll just have to wait and see–and it’s hard not to be curious, given Lively’s lack of acting experience in the comedy department. (Unless you count certain episodes of Gossip Girl
season 3…)
This won’t be the first time that Lively has appeared on Saturday Night Live, but we’re absolutely certain that, at some point during her program two weeks from now, it will be the funniest. Way back in September, she popped up during a digital short with then-host James Franco to deliver one, solitary “so expected and juvenile, I forgot to laugh” sort of line. But SNL‘s writing isn’t her fault, so let’s not hold it against the lovely Ms. Lively.
Tune in to see what the SNL folks can get Blake Lively to do, December 5 at 11:30 PM on NBC.

Why yes, yes it is. What would Blair Waldorf think?
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester went out with flair last night to the American Eagle flagship store opening in New York City.

The sultry actress, who is now trying her hand at a music career with her new single, “Somebody to Love,” showed up to the opening in a short leather dress with a bandeau top underneath, and later changed into multi-colored leggings, studded ankle boots, and a top-knot hairdo for an unprecedented, ultra-mod look.
Meester also performed at the event. Check out a fan video of her appearance, after the jump.
Here’s a quick video of part of Leighton’s performance (feat. her song with Cobra Starship, “Good Girls Go Bad“)

The CW is not wasting their success in nabbing one of the hottest artists this year, Lady GaGa, as the guest star of “Gossip Girl“. After releasing a regular promo which was played at the end of this Monday’s episode for “The Last Days of Disco Stick”, the network drops the one which is focusing entirely on Lady GaGa and her “Bad Romance” performance.

In the episode, GaGa is invited because Blair wants to impress the elitist theater kids at NYU with her private concert. The singer previously said that she refused to only sing in the middle of the scene and “screw everything up” with a sudden, meaningless performance. She thus joined the writers and producers to reveal what kind of performance she wants.
“I really sat down with the writers,” she said. “I was like, ‘Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be, like, a real coup d’etat for me as a performance artist.’ ”
Lady GaGa will fall off ladders because the object is a monster symbol of bad luck. While doing that, she will be wearing 35 ft long red dress which is “very gothic-inspired”.
